GENET urge leaders to fund girls’ education because it shifts power and acts as a catalyst to uplift their standards of living. We believe that Increased investment in education and girls’ leadership plays an essential role in ensuring that girls and young women demand their rights, hold decision makers accountable and challenges the status quo, including the systems and norms which reinforce girls and women’s vulnerability.
A lot of girls in Malawi lack education support to continue with their education. Girls lack educational materials such as back pack, notebooks, calculators, uniform, sanitary pads and tuition fees. GENET therefore supports the most vulnerable girls with education support.
